Wang Yaomei, female, Professor, Master’s Tutor, graduated from Shandong University in 1987 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Chinese. In 1992, she graduated from the School of Literature and Journalism of Shandong University with a Master of Arts degree in Ancient Literature. In 2004, she graduated from the School of Literature and Journalism of Shandong University with a Ph.D. in Ancient Literature. Her main research areas are: study on theories and methods of teaching Chinese as a foreign language (TCFL), study on textbooks for TCFL, and the acquisition study on Chinese as a second language.
Teaching experience: She has been engaged in TCFL since 1987. She mainly teaches basic language courses such as intensive reading, speaking, listening and reading for international students; teaches "Introduction to TCFL" and "Design and Compilation of the Textbook of TCFL" for undergraduates; and offers "Study on TCFL" and "Study on the Second Language Acquisition" for graduate students.
Overseas experience: In 2002, she went to Gwangju University in South Korea to work as a Chinese language teacher. She, as an expert of NOCFL, went to the Confucius Institutes of Mongolian National University and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore repeatedly to teach overseas teacher training courses.
Main academic achievements: The main research projects undertaken include: Research and Construction of Video Resources of Cultural Teaching in the Context of Chinese International Communication (Ministry of Education, presided) and Study on Chinese Learning Strategies for International Preparatory Students Studying in China (Shandong Social Science Project, presided), Review of Chinese Studies in South Korea since the 1990s (NOCFL Project, presided), Chinese Teacher Training Courses in Mongolia (NOCFL Project, second), Investigation of the Project of School-enterprise cooperation to cultivate overseas Application-oriented Advanced Chinese Talents——Taking the "Chinese Training Program" of the National Development Bank as an example (Shandong Social Science Project, presided).
Published works include: Interpretation of Ruan Ji's Five–syllable Poetry Intimating his Sentiment and Study on Chinese Learning Strategies for International Preparatory Students in China; published textbooks mainly include: Easy Chinese series (chief editor), Primary Chinese Listening (co-author ), Enjoy in China by 300 words, etc.;
