Liu Bingbing, female, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Master Tutor, graduated from the School of Literature and Journalism of Shandong University, majoring in modern literature, and received a doctoral degree in Literature. She is mainly engaged in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages and communication of Chinese culture.
Teaching experience:
For international students: she has been engaged in teaching Chinese as a foreign language (TCFL) since 1995 and has been teaching some basic language courses such as intensive reading, speaking, listening, reading, HSK instruction, Chinese culture, and Peking Opera appreciation.
For degree students: she teaches "Chinese teaching method" and "case analysis of Chinese teaching" for undergraduates majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. At the same time, she offers general courses such as Peking Opera and Chinese Culture for Shan University students; courses such as "Study on TCFL", "Practice of Second Language Teaching Methodology", and "Chinese Culture and Communication" for Chinese and international graduate students majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
Overseas experience: She, as one of the first batch of Chinese language teachers selected by NOCFL, went to Spain for further study in 1999. She has served multiple times as an expert of NOCFL and taught overseas teacher training courses at the Confucius Institutes of Seoul National University in South Korea and of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
Main academic achievements: scientific research projects undertaken include: Between Classic and Modernity - Research on Huang Zunxian's Poetry (Shandong University Youth Growth Fund, presided), Chinese Teacher Training Courses in Mongolia (NOCFL Project, second). She has published many textbooks such as Intensive Course of MHK and Chinese Nowadays in America; published Review of the Studies on Domestic Christian (Protestant) in Recent Years, On the Rise and Evolution of Modern Chinese Radicalism, Not for Poets’ Reputation, The Social Environment of Official Reform in the Late Qing Dynasty, On Tang Shouqian's Constitutional Thought and Its Social Practice, On the Use of "New Nouns" in Huang Zunxian's Poetry, An Attempt to Strengthen Teaching of Chinese etc..
Awards: She won the title of Outstanding Master Tutor of Shandong University in 2018.
