Ning Jiming,Ph.D. in Economics, professor, doctoralsupervisor. He currently serves as the Director of the Center for Language and Cultural Communication Studies at Shandong University and the Deputy Director of the National Research Center for NewHumanities and Social Sciences. Previously, he held roles as a Consul/First Secretary at the Consulate-General of China in Toronto (1993–1996), Dean of theCollegeof International Education at Shandong University (2000–2018), Director of theCenter forResearch and ExperienceofTraditional Chinese Culture at Shandong University (2009–2022), a member of the National Steering Committee for Graduate Education in Teaching Chinese as an International Language (2007–2016), and an Executive Council Member of the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching (2008–2022).
Research Areas: Language economics, communication theory, education policy, Confucius Institutesand international Chinese education.
Selected Research Contributions: Professor Ning has led national and provincial research projects and participated in the planning, design, and construction of major cultural experience and education projects at national, regional, and university levels. Awards and Honors: Professor Ning has received numerous prestigious awards, including the First Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, the Shandong Province Cultural Innovation Award, the Special Prize of the Shandong Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, and the Special Prize of the Shandong University Teaching Achievement Award. He is also an Honorary Professor at Shandong University and a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance.
