Ma Xiaole,Ph.D. in Literature, professor,anddoctoralsupervisor. She currently serves as the Dean of theCollegeof International Education and the Director ofCenter forResearch and ExperienceofTraditional Chinese Culture at Shandong University. She is an Executive Council Member of the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching, a member of its Curriculum and Teaching Materials Committee, a board member of the Academic Association for International Cultural Exchange, and a researcher at the Confucius Institute Research Center of Shandong University (a CTTI source think tank). Additionally, she is the head of the national first-class undergraduate program“Teaching Chinese as an International Language”,and the lead instructor of the first batch of national first-class courses“Experience and Communication of Chinese Culture”. She also serves as a member of the 15th Jinan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and a board member of the Jinan Municipal Theoretical Research Association of the CPPCC. Her primary research interests include language and cultural communication, international Chinese education, Confucius Institutes, and experiential education in Chinese traditional culture.

《技术进步与文化再生产的互系与互惠——基于印刷术和自媒体的分析》received the 31st Shandong Provincial Humanities and Social Sciences Achievement Award and was reprinted byChinese Social Sciences Digest. She has also co-editedChinese Culture Bookand served as chief editor of the international Chinese education cultural textbookChinese Culture in Life—Paper Cutting.
Innovative Cultural Education and International Exchange: Professor Ma has pioneered an innovative model for experiential education in Chinese culture, which has been recognized as a demonstration project under the Ministry of Education’s national“Respect for Outstanding Traditional Culture”initiative and awarded the first Shandong Provincial Government Cultural Innovation Award. The immersive experiential course series she developed has been widely applied in international Chinese education, cross-cultural exchanges, and the global promotion of Chinese culture. Throughout her career, she has conducted academic exchanges at Confucius Institutes worldwide, including those at Mongolia National University, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, the University of Manchester and the University of Sheffield in the UK, Dongseo University and Chungnam National University in South Korea, as well as National Chengchi University in Taiwan.
