Zhu Xinlin

Zhu Xinlin, Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor.Dr. Zhu received his Ph.D. in Chinese Classical Philology from the Institute of Ancient Chinese Books, Zhejiang University, in 2010. He was jointly trained as a doctoral student at Zhejiang University and Waseda University, completed postdoctoral research in the Department of Philosophy at Zhejiang University, and has been a visiting scholar attheGraduate School of Letters, Arts, and Sciences atWaseda University,as well as a visiting professor at Hokkai School of Commerce.

He was selected as one of the first group of National Exemplary Teachers in Ideological and Political Education by the Ministry of Education, and also recognized as an Exemplary Teacher in Shandong Province. He is a recipient of the third cohort of the "Future Plan for Young Scholars" at Shandong University (Weihai). He serves as a peer reviewer for theEditorial and Research Center ofConfucian Canon at Peking University, an expert evaluator for achievements under the National Social Science Fund, a thesis reviewer for the Ministry of Education, and a subject matter expert for provincial civil service exams.

His course "Foundations of Chinese Classics" has been recognized as a First-Class Undergraduate Course in Shandong Province, while his "Philology" course has been listed as a Model Course in Ideological and Political Education by the Ministry of Education and as a Distinguished Graduate Course in Shandong Province. Dr. Zhu has guided students to multiple project grants under the National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program. His students have won second and third prizes in the Shandong Provincial Student Entrepreneurship Competition, third place in the first Liberal Arts Practice Innovation Competition at Shandong University, and several awards for excellent undergraduate theses.He has received the Outstanding Mentor Award in the 8th “ResearchingintoShandong” student social investigation campaign organized by the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League. He is also recognized as an expert in Shandong Province's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Mentor Program and has repeatedly been honored as an excellent undergraduatesupervisorand outstandingmentorfor summer social practice activities.

Main research interests: Pre-Qin and Han Dynasty philology, textual bibliography, and overseas Sinology.
